The World Health Organization has identified mental disorders as one of the main causes of disability worldwide. For workers and workplaces, this impacts work productivity through work absences, disability leaves, and reduced productivity at work. There are a variety of workplace-based interventions that can help to decrease productivity losses.

Professor Dewa will discuss the magnitude of work productivity losses related to mental disorders and the decreases in costs related to workplace-based interventions.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss factors that are related to the costs of mental illness in the workplace
  • Identify what to target in the workplace to reduce costs
  • Explain types of workplace interventions that can reduce costs
